Kevin, Myolie, Linda & Raymond in Korea

Via Myolie's weibo: A successful performance!

4 of my fave artists together! :)

Kevin, Myolie, Linda, Raymond flying to Korea

Kevin Cheng, Myolie Wu, Linda Chung, and Raymond Lam recently flew to South Korea to participate in an event for TVB Golden Viva Spectacular. I believe it's something related to Chinese New Year since I know other stars will be doing something in other countries such as Singapore, so I think they're recording a segment together.

Kate and Raymond Celebrate The Holdiays

Good friends Kate Tsui and Raymond Lam gathered to take some holiday pictures and talked about the Christmas plans. Kate has 2 days off to celebrate with friends and family and she hopes to receive more jobs so that she can buy a house. Raymond will continue to film a series in Mainland and then will prepare for his upcoming concert so he will not have time to celebrate with family.

Highs and Lows Promotional Event #2

Highs and Lows had another promotional event over the weekend to prepare for the airing of this series.

I just finished watching the first episode and it makes me look forward to the rest of the series.

Highs and Lows Promotional Event

The cast of Highs and Lows (Michael Miu, Raymond Lam, Ella Koon, Kate Tsui, Ben Wong, etc.) gathered for a promotional event since their series will air soon. Check out the pictures below.

Three Kingdoms RPG Celebration Dinner

Kenneth Ma, Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung, Sharon Chan, Ruco Chan and many others attended the celebration dinner for Three Kingdoms RPG.

I like Tavia with the longer hair and Sharon with the shorter hair. It looks good on them.
As for the series, I actually did not like it very much. I thought it was pretty boring and a waste of a good cast!

I'm excited to watch this series!

Miss Hong Kong 2012 (Fashion Post)

Congratulations to Carat Cheung for winning Miss Hong Kong 2012! Jacqueline Wong got 1st runner up and Tracy Chu (who looks like TVB artist/reporter Sarah Song to me!) got 2nd runner up.

I didn't really have a preference for who wins, but I thought Melanie was awful. The top 3 seemed to give the best answers and remained calm and elegant throughout the whole process. The winner was actually supposed to be chosen in the last 10 minutes through an audience vote. As soon as I heard that, I knew it was going to be a disaster because I knew their servers would crash and it did.

Anyways, there were many guests who were part of the event that included TVB stars (Raymond Lam, Myolie Wu, Ruco Chan, Wayne Lai, etc.), musicians (Kay Tse, Grasshopper, Alfred Hui, etc.), former Miss Hong Kongs, and superstars such as Andy Lau and Carina Lau!

Check out the various fashions below:

It's a nice song that highlights Raymond's voice. I'm already enjoying his songs from his upcoming new album more than his last album.

Books by TVB Artists

The Hong Kong Book Fair is a yearly event that exhibits and sells books. The past few years had an influx of wannabe models trying to sell their own book of themselves "modeling" aka dressing skimpy to get guys to buy their books. Many other celebrities attend the book fair to sell their own books but they're probably not as scandalous. haha.

Here is a short list of some TVB artists releasing their books. I'll add a yesasia link in case you want to buy them, but I couldn't find all the books listed. Are you going to buy any?

Raymond Lam- It's LF: Photo collection of himself throughout the years. It will include many pictures of him in the various TVB series that he was in. (YesAsia)

More TVB artists:

Kate Tsui and Raymond Lam with you a Happy New Year!

Kate Tsui seemed to have a  good year with 5 series being aired, but she is not very lucky in the love department since there were rumors of her having an affair with Ron Ng. Raymond Lam won a bunch of music awards and earned a lot of money, but was also hit with the scandal of the released bed pictures of him and his ex-girlfriend. For the new year, they both wish to get rid of the bad luck and have a good dragon year.

Miss Chinese International

Before we get to the results, I just want to say that the best part of the show was this performance! I love Hacken Lee's songs.

Hacken Lee, Mag Lam, Alfred Hui

The winner of Miss Chinese International is #11, Kelly Cheung, from Chicago. Second place is #9, Cheryl Wee from Singapore and third place went to #5, Lenna Lim, from Malaysia.

I actually don't think the pictures give justice to how pretty they are. Also, I think the top 3 answered their questions really were and that's probably why they placed.

LAUGHING GOR之潜罪犯 Special Premiere

The cast of LAUGHING GOR之潜罪犯 attended the special premiere for the movie opening including: Michael Tse, Francis Ng, Bosco Wong, Chapman To, Evergreen Mak, Kate Tsui, Janice Man, and Rebecca Zhu. Raymond Lam also went to support his friends but it was probably also to bring some extra publicity to the event.

Raymond Lam and Myolie Wu Jewelry Ads

It's pretty much well known that acting in TVB doesn't pay that well, but it gives them great exposure to get paid through functions or through advertisements. Below is some new ads from Raymond Lam and Myolie Wu.

I just want to say that the top picture of Raymond looks horrible because it's so overly photoshopped, and he now looks a little like Ron Ng. haha

Who do other TVB artists support for Best Actor/Best Actress?

TVB Weekly asked 34 TVB artists who they supported for the Best Actor and Best Actress for the 2011 Anniversary Awards and a majority of them voted for Myolie Wu and Kevin Cheng. I always like seeing who their colleagues are rooting for.

26 artists selected Myolie Wu for TV Queen. Those people include: Nancy Wu, Raymond Lam, Natalie Tong, Linda Chung, Crystal Tin, Wayne Lai, Evergreen Mak, Ruco Chan, Kate Tsui, Sam Lee, Ron Ng, Louis Cheng, Bosco Wong, Raymond Cho, Vivien Yeo, Mandy Wong, Ben Wong, Sire Ma, Koni Lui, Derek Kwok, Sharon Chan, Christine Kuo, Dodo Cheng, Kevin Cheng, and Johnson Li.

17 artists selected Kevin Cheng for TV King. These people include: Myolie Wu, Christine Kuo, Ben Wong, Sharon Chan, Sam Lee, Wayne Lai, Natalie Tong, Samantha Ko, Raymond Cho, Elena Kong, Crystal Tin, Vivien Yeo, Nancy Wu, Dodo Cheng, Kenneth Ma, and Raymond Wong.

The other votes for TV Queen are as follows: 4 votes went to Fala Chen by Tavia Yeung, Kitty Yuen, Samantha Ko, and Raymond Wong. 2 votes went to Tavia Yeung from Aimee Chan and Fala Chen.
The other votes for TV King are as follows: 6 votes to Wayne Lai from Edwin Siu, Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Linda Chung, Aimee Chan, and Pierre Ngo. 3 votes each to Bosco Wong and Steven Ma. Koni Lui, Kate Tsui and Kitty Yuen are rooting for Bosco while Fala Chen, Evergreen Mak, and Johnson Li are rooting for Steven Ma. Michael Tse has Bosco Wong and Derek Kwok on his side while Tavia Yeung and Mandy Wong are rooting for Raymond Lam.

Of course, there are hundreds of artists out there but it is interesting to see what this sample is saying. I'm surprised that Michael Tse doesn't have that many people picking him for TV King. There are more people choosing Bosco and Steven over him. There is still a lot of fans that want him to win, but in the end it's all up to TVB. Do they see him as a capable leading actor? Can he bring in the ratings, prestige, or money to TVB for them to give the award to him? It's up to TVB to decide, but I actually see Kevin as the safer choice right now. Either way, I see them both getting an award that night.
