46th TVB Anniversary Gala Fashion and Pictures

Happy 46th birthday! 

The 46th TVB Anniversary Gala averaged 29 points with a peak of 31 points, so as promised, they will be donating HK $31 million to the various charities they support. I thought it was a very entertaining show for the most part, especially the Inbound Troubles skit, the magic segment, and the Raymond/Kate dancing segment.

2013 Starhub Award Winners and Fashion Post

Congratulations to all the winners! 

(I can't find a big group picture so I'll just use this for now :P )

Some of the people should not be a surprise since all the attendees were award winners. The interesting thing to note is that Ron Ng was originally scheduled to show up but ended up having to cancel due to a scheduling conflict, but he ended up not winning any awards. He was nominated for the Favorite TVB Actor award and Best Onscreen Couple award. It is just my guess, but I think he would have gotten the Best Onscreen Couple award if he had shown.

Miss Hong Kong 2012 (Fashion Post)

Congratulations to Carat Cheung for winning Miss Hong Kong 2012! Jacqueline Wong got 1st runner up and Tracy Chu (who looks like TVB artist/reporter Sarah Song to me!) got 2nd runner up.

I didn't really have a preference for who wins, but I thought Melanie was awful. The top 3 seemed to give the best answers and remained calm and elegant throughout the whole process. The winner was actually supposed to be chosen in the last 10 minutes through an audience vote. As soon as I heard that, I knew it was going to be a disaster because I knew their servers would crash and it did.

Anyways, there were many guests who were part of the event that included TVB stars (Raymond Lam, Myolie Wu, Ruco Chan, Wayne Lai, etc.), musicians (Kay Tse, Grasshopper, Alfred Hui, etc.), former Miss Hong Kongs, and superstars such as Andy Lau and Carina Lau!

Fashion Showdown- Battle of the Capes

Sheren Teng recently wore an all black outfit complete with a cape to the TVB Anniversary Awards. Hong Kong actress, Cherrie Hung, was also seen recently at a Mont Blanc event wearing a cape outfit. Check out the pictures below. Who do you think pulls off the look better?

To me, I liked Sheren's whole look more. It looked more complete with her slicked back ponytail and she gave off the impression that she was a strong female, which she is. Cherrie looks good too but she also looked like she was wearing a costume. I'm also not a fan of the big red embellishment.
